RSS starts Covid-19 relief work in Delhi

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has activated its service wing - Rashtriya Sewa Bharati in Delhi. The organisation will provide food, medicines and other necessary services in Delhi.

New Delhi: The number of corona infections is increasing steadily throughout the country and some states including the country's capital Delhi have also declared a full lockdown or partial lockdown. In light of the lockdown, once again migrants have started fleeing to their native places. Keeping in view of the tough times, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has activated its service wing - Rashtriya Sewa Bharati.

The workers of Delhi's Rashtriya Seva Bharati have started several types of service work in Delhi. Sewa Bharti has started distributing oxygen cylinders and other materials to the needy by dividing Delhi into a total of 11 zones. An officer of Seva Bharti has informed that two social organisations - Seva Bharti and Yuva have jointly started 'Rakta Seva Abhiyan' under which people will be motivated for plasma and blood donation.

Seva Bharti, along with many other social organisations, is working to deliver food to the Corona-infected people at many places. Apart from this, free homoeopathic medical camps are being organised by Seva Bharti. Under the 'Seva Abhiyan', a panel of doctors will also provide online consultancy to the corona victims. Apart from this, the Sangh workers have also been instructed to donate plasma, so that maximum lives can be saved.

Seva Bharati is also starting dedicated Covid Care Centers in association with other social organisations. All the centres will work under the guidance of the respective hospitals and the Sangh volunteers are being trained to ensure that there is no shortage of staff. RSS also has a roadmap prepared to provide all possible help to the migrant labourers. Like last year, this time also the ration, food and other materials of need will be distributed free of cost to the migrant labourers. Seva Bharti workers will also help the Crematorium's managing committees in Delhi.
