New Delhi: While some may argue that the ongoing protest by farmers at Delhi borders are disrupting normal life and are a nuisance for people coming in and out of capital, the experts believe that the agitations are a blessing in disguise.

Experts say that this movement has broken the chain of the Corona spread and rapidly decreased the number pf new COVID-19 positive cases.

While neither medicines have come nor the people of Delhi have changed their habits there has been a sharp decline in the number of new cases of corona and daily deaths in Delhi in the last few days.

Dr Ajit Jain, the Nodal Officer of Delhi Government's Rajiv Gandhi Super Specialty Hospital believes that this decline in the number of cases is due to the farmers movement.

Dr. Jain also says that according to the sero survey conducted in Delhi, about a quarter of the population has become immune. If you add the percentage of people with a very low risk of infection, then it becomes about three quarters. This is called herd immunity.

He added that if no big mistake is made now in terms of precaution and social distancing, then like Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and the Middle East respiratory syndrome-related coronavirus (MERS-Cov), COVID too can disappear by itself.
