The BJP leader commenting on the demand of former Congress president Rahul Gandhi and others from his party asking the government to put money directly into bank accounts of the needy, he said Modi's plan is to make the country 'Atmanirbhar' (self-reliant).
"It's not that the Modi government did not provide money to the needy but it wants to make people self-reliant by strengthening them to earn it themselves," he said.
He said instead of slamming government for everything, the opposition parties must work unitedly with the government as the nation deals with the global health crisis.
