New Delhi: With Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan informing that there are at least 25 positive cases of COVID-19 in India at present, people in the national capital could be seen wearing masks and taking all necessary precautions to avoid infection.
"There are at least 28 confirmed cases of the coronavirus that have been reported so far in India. Out of which three patients, who were earlier infected in Kerala, have been cured of the disease," the minister informed the country through a press conference here.
He said at present at least 9 Indians and 16 foreign nationals are infected with the disease that has killed over three thousand people in China, the country it originated from.
Meanwhile, people in Delhi could be seen wearing masks, which doctors say are not very effective in dealing with the virus.
ETV Bharat found out that most people were aware of the spreading disease and they also knew what all precautions were to be taken to keep it at bay.
"We know what precautions are to be taken," said Saurav Kumar, who lives in Pandav Nagar area of the city.
An old man said that he was taking all possible precautions and hoped that the deadly virus would be ineffective in the city soon and people would be able to live a normal life.
