New Delhi: Former Supreme Court Judge AK Sikri has been appointed as an international judge of the Singapore International court on Monday. He will be dealing with international commercial disputes.
He will assume the charge with effect from 1st August and will be delivering his services till 4th January, 2021 when his term will end.
President of Republic of Singapore with the advice of Prime Minister made this appointment.
Sikri retired on 6th March and was nominated last January for the appointment of Common Wealth Secretariat Arbitral Tribunal in London.
He later withdrew his nomination after a controversy erupted on him. The controversy being his participation in the committee meeting which recommended removal of Alok Verma as the CBI director.
