Bilaspur: A rare black panther was spotted by officials of the Chhattisgarh forest department at the Achanakmar Tiger Reserve in Bilaspur.
Surprisingly, this breed of panther was spotted after a gap of more than seven years.
Dipanshu Kabra, an IPS officer, posted a photo of the panther on Twitter with the caption saying, "Found Black Panther in Achanak marg Tiger reserve forest Bilaspur Chhattisgarh, it was captured from camera installed for counting of tigers. Village people named him Bagheera."
The panther's location was not revealed for its safety.
Earlier, a black panther was sighted at the Udanti-Sitanadi Tiger Reserve in Chhattisgarh’s Gariyaband district.
