Narayanpur(Chhattisgarh): A jawan of Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF) was injured while cleaning his licensed pistol at Amdai Ghati base camp in Narayanpur district on Wednesday, an official said.
According to an official, Mahendra Dewan of CAF 22th battalion was cleaning his gun when he accidentally shot himself in a right hand.
Soon after the incident, the colleagues took him to a nearby hospital.
Currently, he has been shifted to Raipur hospital for better treatment and his condition is said to be normal.
