Jamui (Bihar): Addressing a rally in Jamui's Chakai on Saturday, RJD Chief Tejashwi Yadav made an appeal to the voters to vote for his party candidate Savitri Devi.
"If I am voted to power, Chakai would be granted the status of 'subdivision'. After my first cabinet meeting, 10 lakh people would be given jobs. The government will also bear the expenses of students who do not enough financial resources to fill the examination form and go to the exam centres," Yadav said.
"I am a Theth Bihari. I will fulfil my promises. I am here to stay in this field for long and I am not lying," added Tejashwi Yadav.
"Education is in a bad state under Nitish's government. Unemployment has become an important issue in the state due to the incapability of the Nitish Kumar led NDA government. The government has failed on every front," Tejaswi said.
"I am promising you that I will work with full vigour to improve education, health and alleviate poverty. During the 15-year rule, Nitish Kumar has done the work of pushing Bihar into the trough," he said.
"If my government will be formed, then with the help of every caste religion, we will create a new Bihar. Apart from regularizing the employed teachers, Jeevika Didi, Vikas Mitra and ASHA workers will also be regularized. At the same time, the old pension will be increased from Rs 400 to one thousand," he promised to the people.
Slamming Nitish government Tejaswi further said, "In 15 years, nothing has been done to remove unemployment in the state. This government has become a bribe receiver and promised fake things to the people."
