Supaul (Bihar): A patient admitted to a Covid Care Centre in the district in a critical state passed away due to a shortage of oxygen. The relatives of the deceased said that the patient's oxygen level was 65 and that when the patient was brought to the Covid Center, except for a nurse not a single doctor was present.
After some time, when the doctor arrived, seeing the serious condition of the patient immediately referred the latter to another hospital, however, there was no ambulance available.

For almost four hours the patient's relatives kept demanding ambulance and oxygen from the hospital and the authorities, but their problems were neither heard nor understood.
Following the demise of the patient, the hospital staff in order to cover up their negligence were seen providing oxygen to the deceased.

Police chief Sandeep Kumar Singh and Additional Sub-divisional Officer Pramod Kumar reached the Covid Centre to monitor the situation and assured the relatives of the deceased that the matter will be investigated, adding that strict action will be initiated against those responsible.
