Aurangabad: Three members of a family, including a two-year-old girl along with two neighbour's children died while many others were injured after fire broke out in a house in Hitampur village in Bihar's Aurangabad. It appears that the blaze was caused by a spark from a stove. Two adjoining houses were partly burnt, said police.
The fire initially broke out in Vinay Bhuniyan's house while the family was cooking in the afternoon. The Bhuniyan family was trapped inside the house as the main entrance had caught fire and there was no way in which they could not escape. Police said Bhuniyan's wife, identified as Geeta Devi (50), his daughter-in-law Renna Devi (20) and grand daughter Rani Kumari (2) were burnt to death. Two children of Bhuniyan's neighbour, identified as Puja Kumari and Dheeraj Kumar also succumbed to their injuries while Bhuniyan's two 20-year-old daughters and one 14-year-old son sustained severe burn injuries.
The flames spread to the adjoining houses and two were partly damaged due to fire. Many people of these houses received minor injuries. A huge crowd gathered in front of the houses to douse the flames. The villagers became panic-stricken as they neither knew how many people were trapped inside now the mechanism for rescuing them.

The police and fire brigade reached the spot and the fire was brought under control after sometime. All the injured were rushed to Sadar Hospital where they are currently undergoing treatment, while the three bodies were sent for postmortem. ADM Ashish Kumar Sinha, who reached the spot said families of the deceased will get compensation of Rs four lakh each and Rs 11,000 will be given to the owners of the two partly damaged houses. Sinha also assured that the injured will be compensated depending on their medical reports.
