Guwahati: Police in Assam's Karbi Anglong district on Wednesday arrested four persons and recovered 16 tiger teeth from their possession.
Assam Police said that the tiger teeth were seized during an operation acting on a tip-off.
The tiger teeth were recovered from a place called Birla under the jurisdiction of Diphu police station,the police added.
The operation was led by Deputy Superintendent of Police, Nahid Karisma assisted by Officer in Charge of Manja police station and other police officers.
Police further added that the operation was undertaken to nab the culprits in the animal parts smuggling racket.
