Rangia: The controversial National Register of Citizens (NRC) was released on Saturday morning which has excluded over 19 lakh people in Assam.
Among those 19 lakh people, an ex-army man's family also found themselves left out of the contentious NRC final list in Assam's Rangia.
Despite showing all the necessary documents during the hearing and re-verification process of NRC, the ex-army man's family couldn't make it to the list.
The family expressed their concern and said that the whole NRC process took six years and it's difficult to believe that the government will be able to address the issue within 120 days.
"Around 40 per cent of the names have been excluded from the final list from our place," said one of the family members.
