Guwahati: Setting the finest example of appreciation, the Assam Cabinet has appointed an Assam Police Home Guard Jawan, Borsing Bey as a constable in Assam Police. The Home Guard Jawan Borsing Bey received this honour for his courageous and honest role in the recovery of contraband worth 12 crores in the Karbi Anglong district.
Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma offered an appointment letter to Borsing Bey for the post of constable from home guard in a function organized in Guwahati.
A few days ago, Bey raided a night bus alone which was on the way to Guwahati from Imphal in Manipur and seized drugs worth around Rs 12 crore. During the seizure, Bey was offered a handsome amount of money. However, he ignored it and seized the drugs. At a time when only corruption is rampant in the vicinity, Borsing Bey is being applauded by everyone for his honest service.

It is to be mentioned here that Borsing Bey is very happy after being appointed as a police constable. He said that he had been serving as Home Guard Jawan since 2002. He also appeared in interviews several times for the post of constable in Assam Police. He thanked Assam Police as well as Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma for recognizing his service.
