Guwahati: The outbreak of novel coronavirus has hit hard India's northeast region as Assam reports one more positive case of COVID-19 on Saturday taking the total number to 25.
The patient who tested positive also attended the Tablighi Jamat at Delhi’s Nizamuddin Markaz

Assam health minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sharma took to Twitter and wrote, “One more COVID-19 positive case from North Lakhimpur district of Assam has been confirmed taking the total number in Assam to 25. This patient is also related to Nizamuddin Markaz event in Delhi “.
In last three days, Assam recorded 24 positive cases in different districts including Morigaon, Golaghat, Kamrup (Metro), Kamrup, Nalbari, South Salmara, North Lakhimpur and all are said to have attended the religious congregation.
Meanwhile, new cases linked to the Tablighi Jamat congregation were reported in Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh. Manipur records two positive cases, whereas, state of Arunachal Pradesh records one positive case of COVID-18. Earlier, Mizoram recorded one case of the novel coronavirus.
