Visakhapatnam: The ordeal of Prashant, who went to Pakistan in 2017 to meet his online friend, has finally come to an end after he reached his residence in Andhra Pradesh's Visakhapatnam on Wednesday.
The software engineer was extradited to India by Pakistani authorities at the Wagah border on Tuesday.

Cyberabad Commissioner of Police V C Sajjanar took the responsibility to send him home and he reached Pothimallayapalem in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday morning.
His family expressed gratitude to the authorities for securing his release and also thanked Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
In 2017, he entered Pakistan illegally before he was arrested by the authorities.
As soon as the matter came to light, Prashant's father Baburao made several attempts for the release of his son.
In 2019, Baburao met with Cyberabad Commissioner and requested him to help release his son.

The Commissioner of Police apprised the Centre over the issue and after many efforts, Prashant was released from a jail in Pakistan.
Speaking to reports, Prashant urged youngsters to listen to their parents and trust them for their own good.
