Hyderabad: Defending champions Bengaluru Bulls were thrashed by last year's finalist Gujarat Fortunegaints on the second by of the Pro Kabaddi League season 7 on Sunday.
Riding on the quality defending of skipper Sunil Kumar, who clinched his first High Five in the very first match, Gujarat defeated Bulls in a one-sided affair by 42- 24. GF's star raiders Sachin and GB More also started the season on high with seven and six points each.
Pawan Sehrawat, Bulls star raider scored eight points which include three bonus points but it all went in vain as he did not get any support from his captain Rohit Kumar. Ashish Sangwan, who is a seasoned campaigner, failed to clinch a single point in the match.
Defending champions will expect a better performance from their squad in the next match.
