Putting to bat first, Delhi had a blistering start as their opener smashed Chennai bowlers all around the park. Shaw was playing the attacking role while Shikhar Dhawan was playing the anchor role.
Shaw smashed nine boundaries and one maximum for his 64 of just 43 balls while Dhawan scored 35 runs at a strike rate of 129.

In Chawla's very next over he dismissed the dangerous Shaw. The right-hand batsman while stepping out missed the ball and it went on to hit his pads. The ball was close to Dhoni and he showed athleticism to dismiss the bells.
