Sri Lanka decimates minnows Netherlands by wickets to register first World Cup 2023 win

The Kusal Mendis-led Sri Lanka trounced minnows the Netherlands by five wickets to record their first win in the ongoing Cricket World Cup 2023. Sri Lanka rode on Sadeera Samarawickrama's unbeaten 91 as the chase was a walk in the park.

After the impressive win over South Africa in Dharamsala, Netherlands are all geared up to leave a mark in the ongoing marquee event of Cricket. Sri Lanka would look to come over the loss against the five-time champions Australia and register their maiden win of the tournament.

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh): Sri Lanka defeated minnows the Netherlands by five wickets to register their first win of the ongoing World Cup 2023. Sri Lanka first bundled out Netherlands for 262 and then chased the target with five wickets to spare at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium here on Saturday. It was a day game.
