Virat was fielding at covers when he got the opportunity of a run-out, and having grabbed the ball; After Ross Taylor had tapped Jasprit Bumrah to mid-off, he set off for a single but there was hesitation and Kohli hit the bullseye with a forward-sprint-and-dive direct hit at the batting end.

Interestingly, Kohli went for the underarm throw as opposed to a conventional one which would have allowed Nicholls more time to get back into the crease.

An elated Kohli, shouted 'C'MON', by which one can easily understand what the wicket meant to the Indians as New Zealand until then were well poised at 171 runs in the 29th over with the loss of only two wickets in their chase of 348.

While filing the report, New Zealand scored 175 runs for the loss of three wickets with Tom Latham (2) and Ross Taylor (41) present at the crease.
