MS Dhoni completes his 15 days stint with Territorial Army

MS Dhoni's stint with Indian Army ended on August 15. During his stay with the Army, MSD was deployed in the Kashmir Valley as a part of Victor Force.

Delhi: Former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has completed his stint with Indian Territorial Army. Dhoni was posted with 106 TA Battalion(para) in Jammu for a two week stint.

Dhoni's stint with Indian Army ended on August 15. During his stay with the Army, MSD was deployed in the Kashmir Valley as a part of Victor Force.
According to a report in a leading English daily, the wicket keeper batsman actively participated with the troops and took on the duties of patrolling, guard and post duty.
The stumper was also spotted playing cricket with the kids in Ladakh. Dhoni also visited Army General Hospital on the eve of India's 73rd Independence day.
Dhoni opted to serve Indian army taking a break from his field duties after the conclusion of 2019 World Cup.
He had also told selectors to not include him in India's limited over squad for West Indies tour. The veteran wicketkeeper-batsman was spotted in national capital with wife Sakshi and daughter Ziva on Saturday.
However, there is till no clarity over MSD's selction in Men-in-Blue when India host South Africa for a three-match T20I series.

Dhoni was conferred with position of Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army in 1st November 2011 after he guided India to 2011 World Cup victory.
