Mumbai: Diya Aur Baati Hum fame actor Deepika Singh's mother has been diagnosed positive for the novel coronavirus. The hospital, where the test has been done, hasn't delivered reports for the same. However, a member from the hospital has asked Deepika's family to take a picture of the same.
Expressing concern, the actor took to Instagram and shared a video urging Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to help her family with medical assistance as soon as possible.
Sharing details about her family, Deepika wrote: "My mom has been diagnosed with COVID positive. My mom & dad are in Delhi. The test has been done in Lady Hardinge hospital & they didn’t give reports. They only allowed my father to click its picture. I really hope the concerned personnel are reading this and my mom there receives some relief. We need your help. In the video, she said that her father is facing great difficulty as he has not been given reports by the hospital. Therefore, her mother who is 59 is still at home and can't be admitted to any hospital without reports.
The actor is worried since there is a chance that her family, comprising of 45 members, can get infected if not given proper medication.
Deepika, who is currently staying in Mumbai with her husband and son, is trying her best to help them and is constantly in touch with the family over the phone.
