New York: The star-studded International Emmy Awards 2019 is being hosted by Daily Show correspondent and Crazy Rich Asians actor Ronny Chieng at the New York Hilton Hotel in Manhattan. There were 44 nominees in total this year from 29 countries. While Brazil and U.K. swept most of the major awards, India didn't bag any laurels at the 47th International Emmy Awards.
Award for the best performance by an actor was won by Haluk Bilginer of Turkey's Sahsiyet (Persona), Marina Gera took home Best Performance By An Actress for Örök Tél (Eternal Winter). Meanwhile, Brazil's Hack in the City bagged the trophy for the short-form series.
