Hyderabad: Bollywood star Sidharth Malhotra, who is busy wrapping up his upcoming film Mission Majnu sustained a knee injury while shooting for the film.
According to reports, the mishap happened when Sidharth was performing a stunt under the supervision of director Shantanu Bagchi and action director Ravi Verma. The actor reportedly slipped and hit his knee on a metal. Fortunately, it was a minor injury and there was no bleeding or swelling but Sidharth was in pain for which he was given medical aid.

The 36-year-old actor did not call it a day despite being in pain and completed his portions after medical assistance and supervision. He put up with the pain for the next three days and ensure that they meet the deadline as the set they were shooting was created to reflect the 70s era and recreating the same would be an extra burden on the producer.

Sidharth began shooting for the espionage thriller in Lucknow in February. Mission Majnu marks Southern actor Rashmika Mandanna's debut in Bollywood. The film also features actors Sharib Hashmi and Kumud Mishra in key roles.

Helmed by Shantanu Bagchi, Mission Majnu is based on an ambitious covert operation of India and is inspired by real events of the 1970s. It is the story of an Indian mission in Pakistan. The film, written by Parveez Shaikh, Aseem Arrora, and Sumit Batheja will be shot extensively in Lucknow and Mumbai. It is slated to release later this year.
