Hyderabad: Bollywood actor Vidya Balan will be having a second consecutive release on OTT after 2020 released Shakuntala Devi as her upcoming film Sherni is also following the OTT route with the confirmed release in June this year.
The makers of Sherni on Monday announced that the film will be arriving on Amazon Prime Video in June this year. The team has also shared a new poster of the film which is yet to get a release date.
Announcing Sherni's OTT release, Abundantia Entertainment shared the film's new poster on Twitter and wrote, "Ready to roar! Delighted to announce that our newest film ‘Sherni’ premieres on @primevideoin this June. Proud to partner once again with the amazing @vidya_balan and with the talented #AmitMasurkar at the helm, as well as our brilliant writer @AasthaTiku #SherniOnPrime."

The film which is co-produced by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series and Vikram Malhotra's Abundantia Entertainment is directed by Amit Masurkar, who shot to fame helming critically acclaimed 2017 released Newton.

Vidya plays a forest officer in the film that explores the man-animal conflict. Sherni boasts of an ensemble cast including Sharad Saxena, Mukul Chaddha, Vijay Raaz, Ila Arun, Brijendra Kala and Neeraj Kabi.
