Mumbai: Producer Ritesh Sidhwani recently said that he will be ready will the third instalment of his popular Fukrey franchise by the next year.
Ritesh was interacting with the media at the launch of his animated TV show Fukrey Boyzzz on Wednesday along with the Fukrey cast comprising Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh and Richa Chadha.
Talking about Fukrey 3, Ritesh, the co-owner of Excel Entertainment, said, "We are in the middle of scripting the third part of ‘Fukrey', which should be ready by next year at some point. So, I think it will only add-on. I think this was the perfect fit to pick one of our films which have made its mark and bring it on to this platform."
Ritesh will be venturing into television space with Fukrey Boyzzz which will bring back the popular characters from Fukrey in animated form.
The show will revolve around the animated avatars of the popular Hunny, Choocha, Laali and Bholi Punjaban along with all the other characters in the movie.
Sharing her thoughts on Fukrey Boyzz, Richa who plays Bholi Punjaban in the series said, "I loved it. I always felt that our film should be made in animated version. It's like ‘Harry Porter'. Everyone loves it and everyone enjoys it."
Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, Fukrey was produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh under their banner Excel Entertainment.
The 2013 comedy-drama Fukrey gained huge popularity among the youth for its hilarious characters. Despite a poor opening, the film went on to become a sleeper hit.
Fukrey Boyzzz will be launched in six languages--English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada only. The show goes on air from October 12.
