Mumbai: Bollywood veteran Anupam Kher turned a year older on Saturday as he stepped into another year filled with love and fun!
With a career spanning over three decades, Anupam Kher has acted in over 500 films.
An FTII alumni, Anupam made his debut in Hindi cinema in 1982 with Aagaman. Besides Hindi cinemas, he has appeared in over 500 films in several languages including Malayalam, Chinese, Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, Kannada, Marathi and English. Not only in lead roles, but Kher also mesmerised the audience with his performance in his each films as a supporting actor. He won the Best supporting actor award at the Star Screen Awards.

Saaransh
The 1984 drama is still counted among Anupam's best films so far. His performance in the film fetched him the Best Actor awards at the Filmfare. Besides Anupam, the film also featured Rohini Hatangiri, Neelu Phule.
Khosla Ka Ghosla
In the 2006 comedy-drama, Anupam essayed the role of Kamal Kishore Khosla, a middle-class Delhiite who attempts to reclaim his land that has been seized by a builder.
Karma
In 1986, Anupam portrayed a negative character in the Subhash Ghai directorial. Keeping the audience glued to the screens, Anupam proved that one does not need a protagonist's role to get appreciations.
Special 26
The heist film, directed by Neeraj Panday, showed Anupam as a fake CBI officer Pramod Kumar Sharma. The 2013 release also featured Akshay Kumar, Kajal Aggarwal, Manoj Bajpayee, Jimmy Sheirgill and Divya Dutta in pivotal roles.
Baby
In 2015, Kher again collaborated with Neeraj Panday for the action Thriller Baby. He essayed the role of Om Prakash Shukla, an intelligent techie who is assigned to rescue a fellow Indian security agent in Turkey.
The Accidental Prime Minister
The 2019 release titled The Accidental Prime Minister, directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte, showed Anupam Kher in the titular character of the biographical drama. A film in his career that got criticism as much as it drew appreciation from the audience at large. The film was based on the memoir that goes by the same name penned by Sanjaya Baru.

Daddy
The 1989 drama titled Daddy starred the veteran actor in the role of an alcoholic father. Mahesh Bhatt’s movie Daddy is still considered one of Kher's finest works. The film depicts the struggle with alcoholism and parenthood.
"Not all films can teach us about life. But Mahesh Bhatt’s Daddy is one of my favourites. The emotional journey that I went through for the character of Anand was tremendous. I learnt that no matter what, there is always a reason to get up and fight back," Kher said earlier while speaking about the National Award-winning film.
One Day: Justice Deliver
One Day: Justice Delivered, a crime thriller film directed by Ashok Nanda and starring Anupam Kher is also considered as an eye-opener movie. Kher essays the role of a retired judge who conspires to kill criminals freed by him on the basis of lack of evidence.
Hotel Mumbai
Based on the ghastly 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, the film depicts how a head chef Hemant Oberoi with his fellow teammates escorts and saves the lives of the people who ere trapped at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai.
