Mumbai: Anushka Sharma is reportedly being considered to play the role of Sita in Baahubali fame star Prabhas' upcoming flick Adipurush helmed by Om Raut.
Reports are doing rounds that Anushka has heard the narration of Adipurush and has expressed willingness to play Sita in the film. The actor, however, is yet to give final nod while makers are reportedly keen on having her on board.
Anushka and her husband, Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli, are set to be parents for the first time. The couple will welcome their first born in January 2021 is known. Around the same time, Adipurush team is aiming to take the film on floors. As of now, everything seems to be falling in place as the Pari star apparently has plans to resume work after two months into motherhood.

To accommodate Anushka, the makers are reportedly chalking out a plan to begin with scenes without the actor and can come back to portions which require the NH 10 star as and when she is ready to face the camera post maternity.
In the screen adaptation of the epic Ramayana, Prabhas will be seen playing titular while Saif Ali Khan is roped in to play the antagonist.
Adipurush is touted as a film celebrating "the victory of good over evil".
The film will be shot in Hindi and Telugu. The 3D film will later be dubbed in Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada among other languages.
Bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar and Rajesh Nair, and is currently in pre-production stage. It is expected to go on floors in 2021.
