Mumbai: On 'Cancer Survivor Day', Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana's wife Tahira Kashyap who is a cancer survivor shared a powerful message for all the brave souls who are still on the battlefield.
She shared a video on her Instagram where she boldly spoke her heart out. She called her 'scar' as a birthmark.

The video showcased a backdrop of a hospital which features Tahira as a patient lying on the bed surrounded by doctors. She starts with the line, "A small mark, a big meaning". The video expressed her opinion regarding the scars which she proudly claims to be a part of her life just like a birthmark.
Tahira, who herself is a cancer survivor has saluted the warriors and delivered her heartily respect. She quoted, "I salute people who are enduring, they for me are the warriors. I salute those who have crossed the bridge, they for me are the survivors, I salute those who succumbed, they for me are the bravest soldiers. I salute the friends and families of those inflicted with the disease, they for me are the precious support system. I bow my head to respect the unpredictability of life and I raise my head with determination to deal with it too. In all, I want to keep a joyous spirit and wish the same for you."
Her husband retweeted the clip with a caption, "Proud of you my warrior princess."
Sonali Bendre who has been diagnosed with cancer last year commented, "Woohooo! You go girl."
Tahira was diagnosed with early signs of breast cancer in September, last year and has been open about the treatment that continued over the months.
Tahira has marked her presence as a director after her short feature film 'Toffee'.
