WATCH: Cattle washed away in flood waters at a village in Rajkot

Rajkot: Incessant rain since the last few days due to low pressure have triggered flood-like situation in several districts in Gujarat with reports of damages to several thatched houses. Heavy downpour in the last couple of days have caused flash floods at Khijadiya Mota village in Paddhari area in Gujarat's Rajkot. A video shows animals that appear to be buffaloes getting washed away in a river of high-speed waters that filled the streets of a Khijadiya Mota village. Notably, the Saurashtra region also witnessed the wettest day of this monsoon season as districts like Gir Somnath, Junagadh, Amreli, Devbhoomi Dwarka received heavy rainfall on Sunday. Due to heavy rainfall in Gujarat, a nearly 30-year-old bridge over a river in Junagadh district caved in.
