Sculptor Da Vinci Suresh makes Gandhi portrait using seeds

Da Vinci Suresh, a sculptor from Kodungalloor in Ernakulam district of Kerala, created a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi using 19 types of seeds, on Gandhi Jayanthi. The portrait was completed in 3 hours on a 6-foot table. The work was done using the seeds bought for distribution among the farmer friends connected through a Whatsapp group named 'Koottu'. The seeds of green gram, coriander, mustard, chillies, long bean, corn, pumpkin, bottle gourd, Bengal gram, cucumber, sword bean, fenugreek, brinjal, spinach, jack bean, ash gourd, ladies finger, bitter gourd and snake gourd were used to create the Gandhi portrait. The seeds for the purpose were sourced from Agricultural Research Centre and Agricultural Technology Information Centre under the Mannuthi Kerala Agricultural University, in Thrissur.
