People in Varanasi celebrate Vikas Dubey's encounter, distribute sweets

People in Varanasi celebrated the encounter of gangster Vikas Dubey by distributing sweets among the public and police personnel on Friday. Dubey was gunned down as he attempted to flee after the police car he was traveling from Ujjain to Kanpur overturned on the way. He died in an encounter with the police. The gangster was the main accused in the encounter that took place in Bikru village in Chaubeypur area of Kanpur last week, in which a group of assailants opened fire on a police team, which had gone to arrest Dubey. Eight police personnel were killed in the encounter.
