Newly appointed Punjab Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu mimicked a batting style as he proceeded to address the gathering at Punjab Congress Bhawan in Chandigarh. Earlier on the day, ahead of taking charge of the state Congress, the cricketer-turned-politician also met Chief Minister Amarinder Singh over a cup of tea at the Punjab Bhawan. This was the first time in nearly four months that both leaders met each other.
