Sabarmati Ashram was home to Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi from 1917 until 1930 and served as one of the landmarks of the Indian freedom struggle. Located in Gujarat's Ahmedabad was one of the many residences of Mahatma Gandhi. It was from this ashram that Gandhi led the notable Dandi march on 12 March 1930, bringing thousands of people together. Today, the Sabarmati Ashram serves as a source of inspiration and guidance, and imparts the message of Gandhian philosophy to its every visitor.
