'Galvan's PP14 and finger 4 with China'

Defining the concept and genesis of Line of Actual Control (LAC) Lt Gen (retd) BS Jaiswal in an exclusive interview with Bilal Bhat, News Editor ETV Bharat discussed how Chinese through creeping assertions have reached finger 4 and the heights of finger 4 and how they are sitting near Patrol point 14 in the Galwan valley. He also mentions how Chinese sitting closer to PP 14 will be to their advantage. He calls the attack on the body of Indian troops a consequence of ‘intelligence mismatch’. He said that since no map has been signed regarding the LAC, its sanctity remains very ambivalent. He further said that the Chinese want to get the claim on areas so that they can be in a position of strength hence, they want to claim Galwan Valley too. Gen. Jaiswal also believes that the Defence Ministry will share details about what actually happened on June 15 once the injured and traumatized soldiers will be in a position to speak.
