Cloudburst hits Himachal Pradesh's Chamba; triggers landslides

A cloudburst was reported in Himachal Pradesh on May 04. The cloudburst hit Mehla block in Chamba district. Several houses and roads were damaged due following the incident. Besides, heavy rain also caused landslides in the area, disrupting traffic in the area. Sources said a local rivulet, Saho-Palyur, overflowed near Kaner village some 20 km from Chamba town and washed away part of the national highway. Although, no casualties have been reported.
