Bengaluru: KIA’s 14 women brigade displays mock firefighting

Bengaluru (Karnataka): As part of the International Women's Day, a 14-member female firefighting team were spotted at the Kempegowda International Airport(KIA) demonstrating mock firefighting. Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), operator of KIA has created history by recruiting the women fire staffs. After one year of their four-month training at Airports Authority of India's Fire Training center in Kolkata, the women in a mock drill demonstrated their emergency rescue service process at the airport premises on Wednesday. The airport currently has a total of 265 firefighters.
