Watch: Final rites of peacock performed in Rajasthan; cremated as per Hindu mythology

The final rites of the national bird- peacock was held at Rajasthan's Bharatpur district and was attended by several political leaders and police officials on Wednesday. The national bird was cremated according to Hindu mythology. According to the reports, Corporator Rameshwar Saini has an immense love for the national bird. When he came to know about the tragic demise of the peacock, the Corporator decided to bid adieu to the national bird. It is to be noted that the reason for the death of the bird was said to be electric shock. The mortals of the bird were handed over to the Corporator after performing an autopsy by the forest officials.
