VMC to sanitise Andhra Pradesh using drones to spray disinfectant in public places

Preventing the spread of COVID-19 and disinfecting the public places across Andhra Pradesh as a precautionary measure, Vijaywada Municipal Corporation on Monday took up a massive sanitisation drive in government hospitals, isolation centres and Redzone areas in the city. The civic body has also hired Drones to spray the hypo sodium chloride at locations where COVID-19 positive cases have been reported in the city. In the supervision of Commissioner, Prasanna Venkatesh, it is sprayed near corona positive victims houses and several hospital premises. "As four positive cases have been registered in the city, these measures were taken," said the Commissioner. Notably, this is one of the several measures that the government has taken to prevent the outbreak of the pandemic in Andhra Pradesh.
