Viral video: Phagwara SHO suspended over misbehaviour

Taking stern actions against misbehaviour, Punjab police on Wednesday suspended SHO Navdeep Singh after a viral video surfaced online where he was seen kicking a vegetable basket while patrolling in Phagwara. SSP Kanwarpreet Kaur has appointed Balwinder Singh as the new Phagwara SHO. Taking to Twitter, Punjab DGP Dinkar Gupta said, "Absolutely shameful and unacceptable. I have suspended SHO Phagwara. Such misbehaviour will not be tolerated at any cost and those who indulge in it will have to face serious consequences."
