Retired police officer launches welfare movement to honour his late mother, wife

A 78-year-old retired police sub-inspector, MGR Mathan Mohan, hailing from Tamil Nadu's Mayiladuthurai has built a temple honouring his late mother and wife and started welfare program to in order to honour their sacrifices and values. He built the temple near his house on Kasthuribai Street, and assigned two priests to perform rituals every day. Mathan Mohan and Meeenatchiammal were married for about over 50 years before she died of respiratory issues on September 27, 2019.
