Raipur teacher sets world record for chanting mantras

Aruna Peri (55), a teacher by profession, has won the 'Golden Book of World Records' title for chanting 'Sri Lalita Sahasranamam Stothram' continuously for 28 hours and 25 minutes. The record holder started chanting the mantras on February 27 at 10:45 am and continued till the next evening. The woman, who hails from Chhattisgarh's Raipur, had earlier set a record of chanting mantras continuously for 24 hours. She told ETV Bharat that she had not taken any meal during the chanting hours but took a break of 15 minutes twice for drinking coconut water.
