Asia's second-largest tree struggling to survive in Assam

Assam: Asia's second-largest tree - over 200 years old, spreading over 5 bighas is now struggling to survive due to the erosion of the Kaldia river. The Banyan tree in Jalikhata village is facing extinction threat and locals have appealed to the government to take measures to save the ancient tree.
