A 104-year-old Spanish woman has recovered from COVID-19, just a year after beating a nasty bout of flu. Doctors, nurses and auxiliary staff at the Madrid hospital where she was treated cheered and clapped as she was discharged. The centenarian's doctor said she contracted pneumonia after being infected by the new coronavirus. Elena was in a COVID-19 ward for 14 days and is the 4,149th recovered patient released by the Gregorio Marañón Hospital. While leaving, she said she wished for good health, and hoped that everything would be "fixed" soon.
