A recent study published in The Lancet Planetary Health highlights how air pollution impacted people's health in India. In an exclusive interview with ETV Bharat's Sankaranarayanan Sudalai, noted environmentalist Bhargav Krishna, the author of the Lancet study, said it was the first of its kind research on mortality from short-term air pollution exposure in cities otherwise considered less polluted. He also explained why there was a need to revisit the existing Ambient Air Quality Standards in India.
