Diamond trade in deep trouble! Will Budget 2019 bring some hope

Surat: As the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is in preparations to her first budget on July 5, diamond businessmen in Surat are looking forward to the government for their rescue. Diamond business has taken a downturn due to the mistrust in the market and on account of the low foreign demand. Due to less demand, the prices of raw diamonds have come down and the brightness of the finished diamond has dropped to 20-25%.
