WATCH: Odisha girl being carried to hospital in sling

Despite tall claims of Odisha government pertaining to its efforts to take healthcare and welfare to the people, the reality paints a different picture. A case has been reported from Gachaguda village in Ganjam district on Wednesday, where a child had to be carried on a sling for 5km for treatment. In fact, more or less, this is the practice in the area - since the ambulances are not able to navigate through non-existent roads to reach the remote villages most of the times.
