The Indian Constitution which took a total of 2 years, 11 months and 18 days to be written, was drafted in July 1946. It allows every religion, creed, class and caste to live with freedom in the country. Fifteen crucial women were involved in the Constitution-making, out of which, eight who signed the Constitution seldom find a place in the annals of history. These 15 unsung 'she-heroes' had a major role to play in the drafting of the Constitution.
