'Suspending labour rights is not the way towards development,' Delhi labour minister hits out at centre

Speaking exclusively to ETV Bharat, Gopal Rai, Labour minister in the Arvind Kejriwal-led government in Delhi hit out the central government's decision to suspend multiple labour law provisions saying that snatching the rights of workers is not the way to bring development. "We need a stable policy. Without migrant workers, we cannot help the industry come out of the crisis. If they do not feel safe or trust the government, they will not return back," cautioned Rai.
