Fire breaks out at power station in Vishakhapatnam

A fire broke out at the RR Venkatapuram Transco substation in Simhachalam in Andhra Pradesh's Vishakhapatnam at around 3.30 am Thursday. Three fire tenders were rushed to the spot and it took about two hours to douse the fire. No causalities or injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is being investigated and loss of material is being assessed. Transco said power supply was cut off as a precaution.
