Our eyes are under tremendous stress due to increased workload, online classes and everyone is under this stress, here are few exercises to keep your eyes healthy and beautiful and which you can follow even sitting on your office chair.
Focus on near and far objects:
- Sit on a comfortable chair or place, and keep your thumb at a distance of 10 inches from your eyes.
- After this concentrate on your thumb for 10 seconds.
- Now Concentrate on a far-off thing for 15 seconds
- Again, bring back your eyes and concentration on the thumb in front of you.
- Repeat this exercise at least five times a day.
20-20 Rule:
If your eyes are painting due to continuous work on your computer or mobile screen, then this exercise is very beneficial for you.
For this exercise, after every 20 minutes look at any object for 20 seconds away from your computer screen, you can even set a timer on your mobile or smartwatch for the same.
This exercise helps in relaxing eye muscles and is beneficial in reducing eye stress.
Eye movement like Infinity Symbol
Sit at one place keep your left thumb away from your face and focus on it. Now move your thumb in the form of the infinity symbol, during this movement your eyes should be focused on your thumb and should move along with your thumb forming an infinity symbol with your eyes. Do this exercise 5 times in a clockwise direction and 5 times in an anti-clockwise direction.
Batting Eyelashes
You can do this exercise any time and anywhere, while in a sitting or sleeping position. In this exercise open and shut your eyelids 15 times in succession then close your eyes for 20 seconds. This helps in increasing blood circulation around the eyes, which in turn helps in relaxing eyes.
Move Eyeballs sideways
In this exercise keep your head straight and move your eyeballs from right to left and again from left to right, repeat the process 5 times, which helps in taking away the eye fatigue and relaxes eye muscles.
Make your Eyes Big
In this exercise for the first 5 sec squeeze your eyes completely shut, then open your eyes making them big. This exercise makes your eye muscles strong
Rub both hands and place on the eyes
We have been doing this from our childhood, perhaps ignorant about the fact that the heat generated after rubbing hand is beneficial for eye health.
Massage
Place your finger delicately on eyelids and massage them for 4-5 sec, it helps in relaxation and increases the blood circulation around eye muscles
